Final Exams--Stresses and Stress Relievers

Third quarter of the academic year at Lezha Academic Center, Lezhë, Albania, ended on Thursday and Fr4idqay (April 10 and 11) with mid-term finals. We met in the mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 (noon) for two tow-hour finals with a break for some quick recreation in between. First below are some photos of the students I know from class concentrating on their exams.

Then as students finish their first exam, they can go outside and play "futtboll" or volleyball or just sit (or stand) and chat.

For those not wanting to play a high-energy sport, they can bask in the Sun on chairs or in groups for resting or conversation.

Administrators, other staff, and teachers all went to the Net Center for some lunch on Thursday noon. Cindy and Bardha are smiling as they see the end of the semester in sight. Why else would administrative staff smile? As for the teachers, we just enjoy the end being in sight and food to be soon on our plates.

On Friday evening when the exams were all finished being taken by the students and when many of us had already finished grading them, we set off for a meal out at our favorite rotisserie chicken place. Along the way I had to stop and ask to take this young girl's photo. She looked too cute and reminded us too much of our grandchildren.

in additon to chicken, we ate salad and pickled vegies

It is hard to believe that our first quarter at Lezha Academic Center is now history. And it also seems somewhat surreal that we will be here for another six weeks. But it all feels good to us. Thank you, God!!
