More Trains from Harrisonburg

In this posting I will finish up the photos I have from the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Harrisonburg, VA, USA.

First of all I have a short video (about 1min 15 sec; 7.2 MB) of a train of boxcars and grain cars being finalized before "getting under way." Here is screen capture of the title frame with the link to the video below the picture.

On July 29, just a few days before we left Harrisonburg to return to Lezhë, Albania, there were four engines in the Norfolk Southern yard south off R. S. Monger and north of Grace St. Here they are together and in separate photos.

Engine 7586 is a ES-40DC locomotive.

A close-up photo of the side of NS 8922 cab does not show what make and model of locomotive it is.

On the other hand, NS 9577 is definitely a D9-40CW.

At that time I was not able to get a good photo of NS Engine 8953.

Just a bit further north (and across from the main R. S. Monger lumberyard), NS Engine 7672 was connected to a train of grain cars ready to roll. NS 7672 is an ES-40DC locomotive.

While I will not be adding many photos to this train blog while we are in Albania, I do hope to get some more photos of trains in Albania and surrounding countries. We would even like to ride one from Lezhë to Shkodra sometime.
